Yvette Dimiri

Managing Director of Consulting

Yvette Dimiri, a third year at The College, is pursuing a a major in Economics. Originally from the developing country of Nigeria, she has an intimate understanding of the concept of the “bottom billion” and has a passion for emerging markets. Her leadership positions in the African and Carribbean Students Association as well as in UCMI have given her an interesting perspective in solving the challenges of developing countries. After interning for the Performance Improvement Unit of PriceWaterhouseCoopers Nigeria and SlimTrader (an e-commerce start-up in Africa) she has had exposure into the importance contextual Innovation for developing economies, and the importance of market based solutions. Yvette is a Microfinance enthusiast as she believes it has a crucial role to play in the eradication of poverty and promoting financial inclusion. As Head of Consulting for UCMI last year, Yvette has directed projects for a Chicago-based credit Union among others, and is excited moving forward.

In her spare time, Yvette runs her own startup, which aggregates Nigerians’ dining and nightlife experiences in Lagos. She was previously a member of the Community Service and Leadership Training Corps (CSLTC) and a community analyst for Campus Catalyst which consults for Not-for Profits in the area.
