Di Ai

Managing Director of Investment

Di Ai is a second-year double majoring in Math and Economics at the University of Chicago. Di joined UCMI his first year, first as a Consulting Associate and then an Investment Associate, because he strongly believes in using microfinance to solve many of the world’s most pressing problems, such as poverty and the lack of basic necessities in developing countries. Microfinance’s two key premises, sustainability and scalability, are what he believes distinguish it from other solutions and allow it to succeed. From a finance and investment background, Di is also involved in The Blue Chips, an organization that works with investment and portfolio management, as an Analyst for the basic materials sector, and in International Leadership Council as an Associate. Di will combine his passion for solving social problems and his finance skills as the MD of Investment for UCMI.

In his free time, Di enjoys playing tennis and reading the newspaper.
